David Zink YI, Untitled (Waechter 1)

Cephalopod motifs are constant fixtures in DAVID ZINK YI’s work. Using different materials, he creates life-size giant squid or octopi magnified several times over. Highly intelligent yet bearing no physical resemblance to humans, these creatures are seen as being diametrically opposed to our species and, for DAVID ZINK YI, epitomise all that is strange and alien.
