"Calabi Yau" is a multifaceted artwork composed of seven oxygen bottles, with a dibon print of a digital collage, shaped like the last White Rhinoceros before its extinction in Sundan, and two agate rocks sculpted with a bicephalic bird, integral to a hidden code within the image. The image serves as a unique variant of the QR code, requiring the viewer to scan the collage print in dibon and the agate rocks, using the artist's AR FVT App, to unlock a 3D augmented reality (AR) model. The piece draws inspiration from Calabi-Yau spaces, a mathematical concept linked to string theory's exploration of the cosmos, while its virtual textures echo lucid dreaming and spiritual themes from authors like Toni Morrison. It embodies the extinction of fauna and flora, a hovering reminder of the ecological losses that loom above us.
