Francois Ronsiaux, THE CLOUD

The Cloud is a video installation consisting of a stainless steel box on a bar fixed between floor and ceiling, broadcasting a 3d video of a vaporizing cloud reconstituting itself indefinitely, embedded behind a spy mirror. The perpetual nebula of vapors reflects our image in transparency, filtered by the reflecting mirror, inducing a depth, an indecisive and fluctuating dimension. The totemic device appears to us as a mirror of the soul, ephemeral, floating, sometimes appearing, sometimes disappearing at the whim of gravity and ambient hydrometry
