The exhibition 'Interlude' brings together 12 works, which have their foundation in photographs taken on February 15th, 17th, and 18th in Paris while I was living on Rue Chalgrin. Back in Berlin, I transferred the photographs and parts of them into wood engravings, which I painted on and then impressed on canvas. The images 'C' and 'The garden' were captured on the rooftop terrace of the Fondation Louis Vuitton, '5008' and 'Untitled (18)' were taken at the corner of Rue de Presbourg and Avenue Foch. 'Incantation', 'The spell', 'Untitled (23)' and 'Untitled (26)' were photographed at the Place Charles de Gaulle corner of Avenue de la Grande Armée. The images 'Untitled (22)', 'Untitled (24)' and 'Untitled (25)' were taken at the corner of Avenue Carnot and Place Charles de Gaulle. The image 'Untitled (27)' was captured from the Avenue des Champs-Élysées, facing towards Avenue Kléber.
