AUXERRE | Genaro Strobel – “La mer est ton miroir” | On view June 20 – November 1, 2026 at Abbaye Saint-Germain d’Auxerre

GENARO STROBEL

We are pleased to share that Genaro Strobel is included in the exhibition LA MER EST TON MIROIR, curated by Pamela Sticht, presented by the Centre Pompidou in collaboration with the City of Auxerre at Abbaye Saint-Germain d’Auxerre, on view from June 20 to November 1, 2026.

In dialogue with major figures such as Man Ray, Robert Delaunay, Peter Doig, and many other leading artists from modern and contemporary art, Strobel’s work engages with the poetic and symbolic dimensions of water and reflection. The exhibition explores the sea as a space of imagination, memory, and transformation, inviting viewers to reflect on their relationship to nature and history.

PIETER HUGO

We are pleased to share that Pieter Hugo is currently presenting What the Light Falls On at the 14th KYOTOGRAPHIE International Photography Festival, on view at Kyoto City KYOCERA Museum of Art, Main Building South Wing 2F through May 17, 2026.

Presented by Stevenson, this major exhibition brings together over 100 photographs created across the past 23 years. Unfolding as a meditation on life, the exhibition traces themes of birth, death, and the rituals in between. Inspired by Helmar Lerski’s reflection that “in every human being there is everything; the question is only what the light falls on,” Hugo’s work forms a powerful and vibrant archive of human presence.
